Dewsbury-based Richard Alan Engineering has signed a license agreement with chemical giant BASF to manufacture and market polymer make-up and dosing equipment for water treatment applications.
The exclusive license agreement entitles Richard Alan to use BASF designs and patents in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, excluding Spain, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Brands that can now be marketed by Richard Alan include the JetWet®, AeroWet™, Alcotech® and PolyMEC® brands.
Richard Alan Engineering, a well-established polymer equipment specialist in the U.K. water industry, has already been BASF’s equipment contract manufacturer for the last 15 years. From now on Richard Alan Engineering will market the products under their own brand.
By licensing the polymer equipment related know-how, BASF’s water solutions business will fully concentrate on providing a comprehensive range of industrial and municipal water treatment chemicals and ultrafiltration membrane technology.
