The water industry has reported across the board improvement in Developer Services, meeting recently introduced standards for providing a range of services to developers over 95% of the time.

South East Water’s laboratory has improved its analytical excellence according to the UK’s national accreditation body following a recent assessment.

Wessex Water powers up with solar

claverton solar panels 1Wessex Water is powering its office at Claverton Down using renewable energy generated from sunlight.

Welsh Water has started work on a £31 million pound investment scheme which will ensure nearly 100,000 customers in Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Conwy and surrounding areas continue to receive a top quality drinking water supply.

Bristol Water is due to start work on its £27 million Southern Resilience Scheme in late summer 2016 – the scheme is due for completion by March 2018.

United Utilities is starting work this month on a £14 million programme to upgrade Carlisle's water mains.

Scottish Water - Yoker Tunnel Boring MachineScottish Water is making good progress with the construction of a half mile-long sewer tunnel beneath the streets of the Yoker area of Glasgow as part of a £7 million project to help improve the water quality and natural environment of the River Clyde and tackle flooding issues.

Utility company, Tideway, together with its delivery partners who are building the Thames Tideway Tunnel, are offering a range of paid-for internships requiring skills from finance to construction.
