United Utilities tenders £19.2m sludge transport services contract

United Utilities has gone out to tender with a contract for interworks tankering sludge transport services worth an estimated £19.2 million.

The water company has a requirement for the provision of interworks tankering services which may be needed anywhere within the North West of England to assist the firm’s in house fleet in managing variations in sludge production.

The contract is being tendered in ten separate Lots – the maximum number of Lots that could be awarded to one tenderer is ten.

The contract framework will be awarded for a 5 year period with an option to extend the agreement by up to a further 3 years.

United Utilities is looking to appoint up to 50 participants to the framework agreement.
