Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7 contract for the provision of meter reading services and equipment.
The contract, which is being tender in two separate Lots, covers meter reading software, meter data collection system and meter reader devices
Lot 1 covers meter reading software and meter data collection system for all meter types within the water company's estate. The utility has 800,000 meters of which 3 500 are ‘drive by’ meters. The meter data collection system is for the central storage and management of meter data to integrate with Welsh Water's core billing system.
Lot 2 covers ruggedised handheld mobile devices for use by meter readers which should maximise the operator’s ability to remain connected to Welsh Water as far as is practicable.
All potential applicants must bid for Lot1 and as an option may also bid for Lot 2 - any applicant bidding for Lot 2 only will be rejected and take no further part in the procurement.
The initial contract term is 3 years with an option to extend up to a maximum of 3 years at one yearly intervals.
Deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 2nd July 2019 – click here to access the tender documentation.
