Skanska has signed a five-year contract with Welsh Water to help deliver its Asset Management Programme in the UK worth an estimated £195 million in total.
Skanska has been working on a contract which was worth around £25 million a year in partnership with Arcadis as Welsh Water’s main construction partner in the Capital Delivery Alliance for its five-year AMP6 programme from 2015 to March 2020.
As part of the new contract, Skanska is responsible for building critical infrastructure across water treatment works and pumping stations as well as upgrading dams and managing pipe installations.
The new AMP7 contract runs from April 2020 to 31 March 2025.
