Severn Trent awards £12 million AMP8 contract for supply and installation of condition monitoring tech

Severn Trent Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for condition monitoring covering the supply and installation of hardware, supply of software/cloud based data analysis visualisation and the provision of technical support with an estimated value of £12 million (inc VAT).

The water company was looking to establish a framework via the contract on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig which was tendered in the following Lots:

Lot 1 - Electrical Signal Analysis (£12 million inc VAT)

To supply hardware (goods) and installation (services) with ongoing support (services) and access to online platform

Lot 2 - Vibration Analysis Wired/Online (£3.36 million inc VAT)

To supply vibration analysis hardware (goods) and software, and support (services). Variety of solutions required including wired/online

Lot 3 - Vibration Analysis Wireless (£720,000 inc VAT)

To supply vibration analysis hardware (goods) and software, and support (services). Variety of solutions required including wireless.

Lot 4 - Vibration Analysis Handheld ( £720,000 inc VAT)

To supply vibration analysis hardware (goods) and software, and support (services). Variety of solutions required including handheld.

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 October 2025 to 1 October 2030 with five further possible annual extension options up to 1 October 2035.

The following three companies have all been awarded a place on the framework:

  • BGEN Ltd (Lots 1,2, 3 & 4)
  • Hayley Group Ltd (Lot 1)
  • S.P.M.Instrument U.K. Ltd. (Lots 2, 3 & 4)
