Northern Ireland Water has awarded a £38 million water and wastewater pumps framework contract to a total of six suppliers which will run for between two to six years.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has announced that TASK JV, a joint venture between its recent acquisition Sinclair Knight Merz and Thiess, have signed an alliance contract with Water Corporation of Western Australia to design, construct and commission the East Rockingham Wastewater Treatment Plant near Perth, Australia.

The Iraqi Ministry for Municipalities and Public Works has chosen Veolia to build and operate for five years a desalination plant in Basra, Iraq. For Veolia, this contract represents cumulated sales of $115 million.

Companies from the UK,  Denmark, Germany and across Europe showed strong interest in the two new contracts for the Fehmarnbelt tunnel at yesterday’s Industry Day hosted by Femern A/S.

Thames Water is inviting input from suppliers on its proposals for the Counters Creek Flood Alleviation strategic sewer project.

Veolia Water has been awarded  an eight year €660m contract by Greater Lyon (France) for the production and distribution of drinking water in 54 municipalities.

North Midland Construction’s NMCNomenca division has been awarded a £400 - £500 million pound contract to deliver Severn Trent Water’s next phase of upgrade and improvement works.

Veolia has won a major new contract to build the €320m seawater desalination plant at the Az Zour North complex in Kuwait.

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has gone out to tender with a five year software programming and consultancy contract for application development services worth up to £35 million.

Mott MacDonald has won a five-year contract to provide consultancy services for coastal defence projects within the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council area.
