The consultation focuses on the changes the EA needs to make to its enforcement and sanctions policy for new civil sanction powers available to it after their introduction through the Environment Act 2021.

The Agency wants to add a new annex to its enforcement and sanctions policy to explain its approach to using the powers.

The EA is not consulting on the principles of the main enforcement and sanctions policy.

Deadline to submit responses to the consultation is11:59pm on 5 March 2025 – click here to access the consultation online.
