SES Business Water gets ready for launch in English retail market

SES Business Water, the new sister company to Sutton & East Surrey Water, is getting ready to launch in the new English and Welsh business water market when it opens from next April.

The firm, which is already operating in Scotland, is preparing to enter with the aim of building a nationwide customer base by helping business customers to access the benefits of a competitive market.

Awarded its supply licence by Ofwat this week, SES Business Water said it will work with all businesses in England, Scotland and Wales to offer straightforward water solutions and excellent customer service.

Sutton and East Surrey Water will focus on its core business of wholesale water supply and continue to supply domestic customers; its business customers are already receiving their water supply service from SES Business Water as part of the deregulation process.

SES Business Water is investing in new systems and big data capabilities to offer businesses a seamless service, simple account switching and flexible billing options as well as access to competitive prices for their water and waste water supply.

The new company said it will combine the practical understanding of the market of its business water experts with agility from new systems and streamlined processes to take a new approach to non-domestic water.

Giuseppe Di Vita, managing director of SES Business Water, commented:

“We’re building on the heritage and reliability that Sutton and East Surrey Water customers already benefit from and offering a complete focus on business needs and solutions.”

“Our customers are at the heart of SES Business Water and we’ve tailored our systems and processes around their needs to make it easy and hassle-free for businesses to manage their water supply."

“Competition in the water market offers all businesses an opportunity: we aim to help them act on it. Whether we’re helping a small business to save money or working with a large industrial site to improve water efficiency, we offer expertise and a straight-forward approach to water.”
