Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for technical inspection and testing services for hazardous assets worth an estimated £2 million.
The water company intends to award a number of framework agreements to more than one supplier for the inspection of electrical installations in hazardous areas.
The services will apply across the Thames Water region in over 3 000 sites, from small district pumping stations to large sewage treatment works.
The agreement for inspection and remedials is being tendered in seven Lots.
The initial term of the agreement is 3 years, with options to extend annually up to a maximum overall term of 8 years.
